The Naya Kashmir Manifesto is a political and social-economic reform document that was drafted by the Jammu and Kashmir National Conference (NC) in 1944. The manifesto was written by Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah, the founder and first president of the NC, and it was adopted by the NC at its annual session in Srinagar on 30 September 1944.

The manifesto outlined a vision for a new Kashmir that was based on the principles of secularism, democracy, and social justice. It called for the establishment of a secular, democratic, and socialist state in Kashmir, with a focus on improving the lives of the poor and marginalized.

The Primary Goals And Principles Of The Manifesto Included: 

Land Reforms: The manifesto advocated for radical land reforms to address the issue of landownership and land distribution. It proposed to abolish feudal land tenures, grant land to landless peasants

Universal Adult Suffrage: The Naya Kashmir Manifesto advocated for universal adult suffrage, ensuring that all adults, regardless of their social or economic status, had the right to vote in elections

Economic Development: The document highlighted the importance of economic development and industrialization in Jammu and Kashmir to improve the living standards of its people. It called for investment in infrastructure, education, and healthcare

Political Autonomy: The document also sought to maintain the political autonomy of Jammu and Kashmir within the Indian Union, while ensuring that the state would have its own constitution and laws.

Social Equality: The manifesto emphasized the need for social equality and the reduction of discrimination based on caste, creed, or gender. It aimed to uplift marginalized and disadvantaged sections of society.
